I understand that mental health, substance use, addiction, and recovery offer unique challenges to individuals and families, sometimes requiring outside help to overcome these issues.  I provide you as a client with a safe, nonjudgmental space to enhance self discovery and skill building to lead to a healthy and successful lifestyle.  My goals for all of my clients include building on already effective life skills, learning new skills that support a recovery lifestyle, involving family members to improve communication skills, and overall feeling respected as a human being through the therapy process. 

In terms of experience, I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-CP), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC), and Master Addiction Counselor (MAC).  I received a Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012, and also received a Masters in Social Work at the University of South Carolina in 2014.  I have over 11 years of experience working with adolescents and adults with mental health and substance use disorders, as well as their family members.
